IMO, if the vehicle is infront of you, indicating left, you let them through. My analogy is with cars, you don't pass on the left.

May not be strictly 100% correct reading of the law, but to me its a matter of road user courtesy.

It doesn't excuse the vehicle in the offside from responsibility for carrying out lifesavers down the nearside though.

My logic would be the same, whichever vehicle was in whichever position.

Cue me - with my very high level of caution about these things - stop behind a left turning car to allow it to go. And the driver stopping to let me go. And both of us waiting. Sometimes until the lights go red again.
Yes, I get this quite a bit myself. I come up behind a car that is indicating left and I slow down. The indicating car then waits for me to pass but continues to indicate, and I think: "you must be mad if you think I'm going to go up the inside of a left turn indicating car". I know and appreciate they're just being polite, but it is a bit of a pain.

If both lanes are still moving, I reckon I'd also be anticipating their move and looking for a safe opportunity to manouvre right and go round the vehicles offside as it carried out its move.
