Seeing as we are forecast dry weather for the next couple of days i am going to use this complete with the steel rims for my commuting machine for the next couple of days just to get a feel for it

This is my commuting machine for the next few days as long as it stays dry .

First 4 miles completed and it feels good , just need to sort out the gear selection for 6 th as that is hit and miss at the moment .

40 miles covered on this fine machine already this week it's been a while since I have ridden a 27" wheeled bike around .

I still like to take my old Galaxy out for a spin every now and then. It is quite a different ride on 27'' wheels. Enjoyable though.

On this morning's ride I was plauged with a knocking noise that would disappear when I pedaled backwards so just changed the 7 speed block for the original 6 speed item and it seems like normal service has been resumed .

Whilst I had the bike upside down I found the frame number 000974 on the bottom bracket pointing to a 1976/7 model.
