After not being used for a month i dragged this one out this morning for a few gentle miles and soon found my self trundling along st an easy feeling 17 mph !!!

Still feels very nice to ride , thought i might feel different after using the Legnano and Shorter so much recently

And it's also on commuting duties today as well.

That Mavic mech intrigued me so I checked it on the Disraeligears site and appears it might be the 801 or 851 model and the first they produced in around 1979 made for them by Simplex. So a bit of history and may be quite rare.

it's quite strange as I picked up a box of spares that included another one that has been partially dismantled
