A workmate recommended a cycle route around Holyrood Park today, so I took a wee run up there this morning.
From St Margarets Loch I headed uphill on the road, but it was pretty narrow, and no car could have passed me safely. I made the assumption that cyclists should use the adjacent path running alongside, so moved on to the path. Only going at walking pace anyway, but still met with abuse from some old git who wanted to block my way, muttering "is the road not good enough?" as I passed.
After Dunsapie Loch the road widens out to a double road, so no problems from there back to Holyrood.
Can anyone fill me in as to what is a cyclepath/shared route in the park and what isn't?
