Kin hell that's over quick. We did though have the rest of the house redecorated too due to all the doors having to be replaced with fire doors

same here. and replastered from join of new loft right down to front door on a terraced house. I held retention of £5k till I finished the decoration just in case i noticed any issues . builder was happy with that and I paid him in full as soon as I had painted.

As your hoping to go sideways that should save a lot of distress..
but as said get quotes and absolutely check references with as many as you can..
a good builder will be almost stress free and worth the extra..if indeed there is extra..

My kitchen had running water all down the walls xmas day 2007...im suprised i didnt do time..lol. it got me smoking again and the mrs...it was a grrrrr
and dust will be a pain so always cover or move precious items..

our biggest shock after the build was temporarily stopped was scaffold..1200 to 3700..shared with neighbour..that hurt
