Has anyone tried making homemade killer with vinegar.Does it work or a waste of time. Our driveway paving slabs the mortar has cracked a long time ago,and i am fed up of getting down on my knees with a screwdriver.any tips appreciated.
I've been told it is very fast acting unlike glyphosate but also that it doesn't kill the roots well so you can get regrowth. But my brother used a load to clear a pedestrian area when he couldn't use glyphosate as next to an important water source (reservoir) and he commented it had lasted over a year.
But no personal experience (yet) so just repeating what others have told me,

Postie, try brushing salt into the cracks, as in de-icing salt, the one you get from the council bins on your road, or you can buy bags in B&Q.
Use it when it's going to be dry for a few days.
The salt will kill all vegetation, so do not spread it near plants you want to keep.
