I've recently moved to Ho Chi Minh City which is a very hot and humid place at this time of the year. Last night as I was following stage 14 of the tour on the internet via Cyclingnews, the room became 'full of blackness' due to a power cut at about 2100 hours. The power did not get reconnected until 1200 hours today so I had to endure a very hot, sticky and unpleasant night with not much sleep. I think an afternoon nap is now in order!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking at Wiki, that weather looks like AWESOME Cycling weather

I spent four nights in Ho Chi Min City (aka Saigon) prior to visiting the very venerable Keith Oates in Ha Long Bay and found it to be a very hot and humid city.

I certainly wouldn't like to be there for too long without being able to cool down. I think I would have spent the night in the shower - just lying awake sweating all night with no means of lowering the temperature isn't too appealing.

Hope you had plenty of 'fluids' to quench your thirst, Keith!

Ah Keith, my sympathies! However, I love this kind of weather, think it's in the blood for me and the funny thing is if you turn off air conditioner etc in a couple of weeks or thereabouts your body gets used to it and the sweating does come down a bit
