oh boy, my house is a tip! the washingg is piling up etc. the bike has lights, computer (got a new one , couldn't get other one to work) got cycllist rain jacket, water bottle, cereal bars,lock, seat cover,rucksack and book "cyclecraft" done 15 miles since saturday and been reading..........i'm loving it hence no housework getting done lol better do some tomorrow! well the morning anyway

Why not? That's what tyre levers are for. If I can fit Pave Veloflex to my race bike with my tiny thumbs, I'm pretty sure you should be able to fit a standard commuting tyre.

Or she could get collapsible tyres instead. IIRC they are far easier to get on and off the rims (well certainly on MTBs)

MTB tyres are easy. I don't even use tyre levers for mine.

I rarely use then on mine either.

I had a thorn hole in rear on mountain bike put in slime and blow up then did over 800 miles without ever using a patch then the tube went bang.

Don't know about road bikes with high pressures though.

yes, quite bad in hands at moment but still there may be a way for me to do it, will have a go and see.
