As per title.
I have written a condensed version of my memoirs.
Out of interest, I am 78 and was brought up in 50/60s Merseyside. Hence, I went through post war, the Merseysound (Cavern etc) and saw the 'good days' start.
The book is really for my grandchildren plus a few other of the young generation so it finishes around the 70s when they popped into the world.
Content........
It will only be approx 16-18 pages (normal book size) but I want it to look good ie not completely amateur.

Does anyone on CC have decent suggestions ?
Thanks.

Publish it on Amazon - it costs you nothing.

As well as a download you get the option to make it available in hardback or softback, both options relatively inexpensive and only produced when someone orders it.

If you do that I'll buy a copy.

I have a colleague whose husband could do it.

High end book binder.

Not cheap though.

Well, if I bounced it off him then he could give me a couple of ideas and prices so I am up for that.
Will you put the general idea to him and ask eg if he wants me to email him ?
You can pm me if you wish.
Thanks.

Just go to any decent print shop and they will do this properly with advice on size, stock, finishing etc.

My wife, with her small business hat on, has used vistaprint for all sorts of this kind of thing, and they've always come up trumps. They make it very easy to do, they deliver quickly, and best of all the quality has always been top notch. At a scan, the kind of thing you're after - A5, (sort of book-size: half a sheet of A4) 20-odd pages all told - would be about £100 for 100 (the minimum order). How many grandkids have you got?
