I smashed the back on my iphone this morning so went into town to see if I could get it fixed . I went into five phone shops and stood in each of them for 5-10 mins and not one sales person even looked in my direction let alone said hello or be with you soon .
The last shop blanked me and served the person that had just walked in the bloody door .
I said I think I will stand around in shoe shops tomorrow and get ignored before walking out .
I then nipped into the corner shop to get a drink and he fixed the phone for me for £15

I once got a damn good ignoring at an Audi garage. As I had 25 large to spend that very day, I'd consider that some expensive shunning.

Lol phone shops I've been in either ignore you or they will follow you around watching your every mood they never seem to be that helpful and they love spouting loads of big technical words to make a phone look better I normally ask them what phone they have its normally a good way to cut threw the jargon and get something decent.

...or the opposite when I went into a clothes shop the other day and told the 4th person that asked if I wanted any help that I am fine and to please tell everyone else to leave me alone.

Best person I ever found for fixing my iPhone (before I started doing it myself) was one of those white market stalls... you know the type - look suspicious as hell but great people and wonderful customer service as well, not to mention serious helpful!

Just waiting for the warranty on my Sony Xperia XP to expire so I can dismantle it to fix a lens problem on the camera...

Sky broadband once put me on hold while they tested the line, they had called my mobile to save money and it disconnected 30 mins later .

I once went into Dagenham Motors on the A13 and told the salesman I was interested in two Fiestas to use as driving tuition cars. The guy barely glanced up from his paper and told me there were some brochures on the table to look at. There began a long association with a nearby Peugeot dealer from who we bought ten cars over the years, all going back in for regular servicing too.

Similarly, I went on a mini tour of car dealers with my then-wife as she'd just been given budget to buy a company car. Most of them ignored her and spoke to me, one continuing to do so after we'd explained it was her buying, not me.

Finally, one dealer approached us both, asked "Who is the car for?" and then turned all his attention to her. He got the sale.

I walk into emporiums and I'm usually ignored which suits me perfectly; where as my son who is a honest as the day is long attracts both the attention of sales staff and security guards in equal measure.
