How do clear a shower drain ?

I bought a "drain snake" kit for about £20 off Amazon. Successfully cleared a blocked toilet connected to a maserator.

I sent the missus for onemof these, but she went in Ann Summers by mistake and I ended up trying to unblock the drain with a 12" One Eyed Bed Snake.

We have a bathroom, downstairs, and shower room, upstairs, both have very shallow falls. The idea of a blockage really bothers me. I put a magic potion down every two or three months as a precaution. In between if there is a hint of gurgling I chuck in heavy duty stuff that has to sit overnight.

🤞 so far all clear.

@Dave7 if you have a shower with something similar to this clean it out weekly. It's designed to catch the crap and ours certainly does. Prevention is better than cure.......

Thanks Paul. Its seem to be the same type so I will take your advice on board.

I dont normally crap in the shower but will take more care.

We recently had to do this in our bathroom. After doing lots of research, Mrs BB bought some HG Bathroom Drain and plug hair unblocker.

We weren't expecting much based on previous experiences with similar products, but this stuff did exactly what it claimed on the box.

Mr muscle drain cleaner? I can't use it because we have a septic tank but you should be OK

This ^^^ Works a treat in our shower, get the bathroom version, follow the instructions, leave it in over night and flush, job's a good'un

Absolutely. But it does save me hundreds of pounds every year on my water bills. So it's a win win in my opinion. 😆

Apparently Wickes* sell it and Wickes is next door to the new Lidle which I keep threatening to try.
**at £6.50 it won't break the bank.
