I went yesterday evening for the late xmas bash. Cycling home I saw loads of ladies wearing virtually nothing. Being a sensible girl I was well rapped up. How do these people not die of hypothermia in below zero temps I don't know.

My wife was suitably amused a couple of years ago when, driving through Leeds city centre at this time of year and seeing similarly dressed young ladies, my immediate vocalised observation was; "What would their parents say if they could see them dressed like that!" My retrospective and silent 'phwoooaarrr!!!' was a minute or two later

I wonder if drinking so much alcohol stops them from freezing? A little bit like putting gin in the freezer, it stays liquid.

That's the first thing I noticed when I moved from London to Leeds. My friends came up to visit and we hit the town hidden under hat, coat, gloves and scarf...only to find we were the ONLY people wearing the aforementioned items in the whole of Leeds.

That's how you tell the southerners from the northerners!
