How do you buy surplus quality clothing?

Mrs Gti is facing possible redundancy and says that if she loses her job she'd like to try selling surplus quality women's shoes and clothing on Ebay. You know, designer knitwear, good shoes etc. by Marc Jacobs, Jigsaw, Hobbs, Boden, Whistles and so on.

Anybody know anything about this line of work?
