First off thanks for the unknowing help you've given me during my month of lurking whilst waiting for my C2W voucher.
Today it finally came, I'm now the proud owner of a Cube Cross Race, several bits of bike paraphernalia and 12 miles later a very sore a@#e.

Hello and welcome, did you not get any cycling shorts with your cycling paraphernalia. The soreness eases as your backside gets broken into your saddle but expect the soreness to last a week or two.

I did get some padded shorts, don't know if they're padded enough though. I'll tough it out for a while and make some changes if necessary.

Padded shorts work for some people but not others, just like padded saddles. Also, if the bike fit or saddle shape is wrong, that can lead to pain.

Your not wrong. We went to Gunwharf Quays a shopping outlet today, as I wanted to get a new suit. Little did I know that there is a Pearl Izumi/Shamano shop there, another £120 to the new hobby.
