Large at 5 foot 8 ? Sounds like they shops were trying to shift stock onto the unaware, although i could be talking tosh as i have had only a couple of hours sleep after night shift .
Im 5 foot 7 " and ride small/ medium at best with a similar inside leg , my boardman road bike is a small which i had to get the shop to order in as they only cary medium or large normally.
