That's what I used to do....if you need more than what you're allowed to get from out of the cash machine?
Do you need to write a cheque payable to 'cash' and submit it over the counter?
Thanks
Or, faced with what we had when trying to rent a property in a new town on a weekend trip; 1.5 months' rent as a deposit in cash = all the cash cards in the house, max them all out. Can withdraw daily over a few days but I'd warn your bank in case they think the card's been stolen....if you need more than what you're allowed to get from out of the cash machine?
unless your seller wants to put it in a bank then it takes 5 days to clear still - Halifax - September 2011 we had issues with bankers drafts when paying the builder for the loft conversion.Don't carry cash, use a banker's draft, which is as good as cash for your buyer.
...but that's a different storey....we had issues with bankers drafts when paying the builder for the loft conversion.

Could do, I suppose. Saves all the faffing around.Do you use internet banking? If so could you pay your payee directly using their sort code and account number?
