We're not doing Christmas this year and it's been great so far. The only presents I've bought were two secret santa ones and I bought the boy a pair of slippers as our floors are freezing and he's already had them a week. I'm not cooking on the day although I do intend to buy in lots of cheese and gin.

That's a cracker ABV - no Christmas this year - just a pair of slippers for the boy and gin and cheese.

Can I come round - I'll bring some tonic!!

What she doesn't tell you is that that is pretty decadent for a Glasweigian's Christmas, isn't it ABV?

It's worse than that; ABV is fae "THE PORT" ! Obviously the posh end of the Port though, as her "eff off" smiley is wearing boxing gloves rather than the more traditional carrying of a "chib" or baseball bat ;).

I used to work with a load of people from Dumbarton but they called it The Vale to make them sound posher.

Aye RIGHT! The Vale is the rough bit!! ....... and it isn't Dumbarton anyway (thankfully - the Vale Of Leven is Renton, Alexandria, Balloch and the rough estates like Haldane).

I'm not going to mention Bellsmyre and Castle/Bruce Hill though.....

Eff off :boxing:

You're welcome to come round so long as you bring cheese and gin and don't mind the cat glaring at you.

More gin and cheese

I shall appear, like the 3 wise men except bearing gin, cheese and whiskers - glaring cats I can cope with - no biting or scratching - that's my cat specification.

My day has been a great day at work (I love my job) with many not here on Monday so a bit more relaxed that a normal Friday. I was out for 2 hours lunchtime (flexitime so no problems) to walk the 300m to the church where my son's school's readings & carols service was held. Back to the office to finish up a couple of projects, the boss has flown to her parents, the bigger boss has gone home, there's just 3 of us left now and we'll be done in about 30 mins.

Monday will be even better. :giggle:

Did I mention that I love my work?

Interesting in Liverpool last weekend. The city centre wasn't too crowded, seemed like a normal Saturday, except at the Pandora shop - they were queueing out the door and down the street. The scrum to buy that tat is extraordinary.

Out on the bike this morning and all I met round the lanes were pleasant and friendly, hello's, waves good and patient driving...... then I had to cross Coventry to get home..... Blimey! people rushing around, close passes, people on their horns if anyone’s slow and people pulling out of side roads regardless, I was glad to reach my front door.

You are a very lucky person, most people I know hate thier jobs, including me. I ask, merely out for curiosity, what is it you do for a living?
