...before you swear either under your breath or audibly ? in regards to humans who can't operate a motor vehicle..or need to register themselves blind!
My record for shortest distance was about 500 metres. The longest was about 230 kms - it might have been further but I was getting a bit tired and was getting bored of waiting for something bad to happen! (In terms of time - 3 or 4 minutes to get annoyed, or 13 hours without getting annoyed!)
Driving the car last night it was 80 yard, which happens to be the lenght of my drive, got to the end of it in the dark and fog to see a cyclist going past with no lights on. I did call out politely and he ignored my calls.
I was going to say it depends what the weather's doing, but "in regards to humans who can't operate a motor vehicle" is generally at least 2.5 miles northbound or 1.2 miles southbound because I usually don't have to deal with the nutters before that unless they jump a kerb - sometimes further on certain routes. Ain't cycleways grand?
I suppose I'm quite lucky, most of my cycling is on the quiet country lanes round here, so don't meet too much traffic & only an idiot driver once a blue moon. I the odd occasion I do have a close pass, overtake on a blind bend etc I normally shout 'Cock!' & leave it at that. Not one to get wound up & chase after motorists
Generally don't have a problem on the roads.
Biggest cause of swearing around here are the Grockle 'cyclists' on the Tarka Trail - lost count of number of near misses.
Thankfully the holiday season is now over.
