How long have you been in your current job?

28 and a half years. Just 18 months and I will be finished. Loved every minute of it and had intended to stay on past my finish date, but recent ill health has made me decide to call it a day on completion of 30 years.

25 years but will retire in 4. Have moved around considerably within the business and its taken me all over the world so I cannot complain.

12 and half years now in current job. Got amazon vouchers for 10 years service and bought a new TV for the kitchen.

I cannot see me ever retiring TBH. Been in engineering for nearly 28 years now, the first 4 in medium engineering, and then small scale stuff in Aerospace on the machines, then another 7 years translating designs to components for machinists to follow, and 19 years in the drawing office as a design draughtsman (now easing into 3D modeling) 15 years in current company.
Also got a seasonal Equestrian Widget making business on the side (cottage industry) which promises to be all consuming if I play it right. Busiest year to date with this and selling all over the world, and I've not actually advertised for the last two years. It has been a hard slog though as I've had to effectively invent the market...a few people hanging off my coat tails now in the states, and the EU though as they can see the potential in it

it's odd being in an international aid charity when an overseas crisis happens. the office was awash with collecting tins and buckets today - coming in and going out. at last i can feel proud of the charity i work for after many years at a really rubbish one!

First job was 27 years (although it was in a Bank, and they moved staff from one job to another every 3 or 4 years, so it was kind of like changing job).

Second job was 10 years, until this Summer. I must admit I was getting bored with it by the end.

Since the Summer I have moved house, and am now just starting to look for a new job....

I will be 20 years in the company in eight days time, next week I will be attending meetings about massive job reductions in a company re-org. It might be coming just at the right time for me personally, however I will be fighting them tooth and nail.......

9 years as ADI ( driving instructor). Giving myself another 2 at the most and then just teaching.

13 months with current employer after taking voluntary redundancy. Identical job role at very similar plant, very different company and I fit like a 100mm dia star-shaped peg in a 10mm wide slot. Made no end of mistakes but have realised I need to step out of the comfort zone and look at changing industries.

My current job (business) has been up and running for 15 months but I have been working non stop as a groomer for the last 10 1/2 years now and getting a bit bored with it.
Thinking of a change now but have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.

11 years in current job, though my role has changed a fair bit since I've been here.

Two years on the 12th December and still happy, last job was three and a half years and 18months before that so I'm getting better at sticking at the same job although I've been in the same type of work for 11 years

It will be 10 years in March. I will get an extra £500 in my salary from the company for this achievement as well (after tax I expect it will be about £200 but better than a poke in the eye). I will probably stay here indefinitely even though it's boring and fails to stimulate the brain cells. It's convienient and I am not remotely ambitious. The best that could happen to me is getting made redundant in about 3 years time as I'll get a nice redundancy payout and will have no mortgage then. Would probably do some part time or temping work to pay the utility bills and live happily ever after.
