Well unlike a lot of you I like pink (not that baby woosy pink) and I have just discovered that this year the Altura Night Vision is going to be produced in pink ... and my previous one seems to be loosing its waterproofness a bit ... here it is in all its pinkness:

Looks as if they have moved the pocket down and made 2 instead - hopefully still zipped. Though I note not available till November.

I like it, and agree it's nice that it's better visibility than black but less 'stands out in the pub' than the yellow!

Thanks girls. I've also spotted this. The sleeves come off and it turns into a gillet. Decisions:wacko:.

Helen, that's really cute, I love it.

I ADORE my gilet. It is quite bright but not obscenely so, I never feel lurid.

I'd forgotten all about it... couldn't make it tonight - have to return a child to camp ... came home at 12.30 (last night/this morning) apparently ill - in fact I think just suffering sleep deprivation judging by her long lie in and apparent wellness this morning!!!

Oh she is supposed to be at St John's Ambulance cadet camp, although any camp is probably the same recipe of mad freedom from parental supervision!!!

I spent four years in the ATC and I had some fantastic fun. I loved flying, I loved the camps and I made some good friends. I won best cadet at Camp 2000

I would never get best cadet on camp - and I have been demoted in the past. .... you see .... when you get a bet with the officers to stick obscene images onto the back of the camp CO's back ... I hate to turn those bets down .... and on excersize, I have far too much fun stalking the "less experienced" with a roll of gafa tape at the ready. Had some great times with the atc ... from begining at the age of 13 and idolising the instructors teaching you basic fieldcraft, to becoming an instructor - teaching weapons training, drill, fieldcraft and playing more or less a staff roll at the age of 18. Some of the girls in atc aren't that bad either..

Just an aside (picking up from something that was said in an earlier post) don't assume that you're being patronised in a bike shop simply because you're a lady. It happens to blokes too on a not infrequent basis. It's got something to do with 'expert' staff having to deal with know-nothing numpties on a regular basis. It can take quite a while (and a number of visits) to convince them that you actually do know what you're talking about. Same goes for garages, hi-fi shops etc etc...
