:tongue:As many as we can make Crankers. Cubester can eat his own bodyweight in pancakes, and Cubette won't be far behind. I am slowing down in my old age, but reckon I could do half a dozen. All with sugar and lemon for me.;)

Oh ........... the thought have having some competition, prematurely got my pancake juices flowing. Feel quite flat now . Surely you and MrWC must be having at least one or two. Maybe have one in the shape of a Valentine heart ...;)

Will WCMnr be having loads at uni as it is cheap, easy, fun, student food?

Haven't a clue what WCMnr will be eating. His last email to me was to ask for instructions on baking salmon fillets in the oven. he knows how to cook & eat reasonably well. Mr WC & may be having one...

That's the spirit WC.

;)

What's the best oil to use?

In the past I've used vegetable or sunflower, but the last few years I've used EV olive oil as can't be bothered to buy oil especially for the day. The pancakes seem just as tasty. Just wondering what others will use?

Have got the eggs, milk and flour lined up ready to mix. I bought a new whizz wisk as well. No expense spared. Frying will commence at 6.30pm. Syrup will be gently warming in some hot water. Plates in the oven on low. Fresh lemon and sugar on stand by .

No marmalde. Will save that for toast on the weekend.

Well, the tossing is finally over at Cube Towers. Mrs Cube has just been discharged following an episode of perforated diver- something or other and so managed a pretty feeble and measly one. As she was ill I was forced to download and install Nanna /MIL 1.0 on the domestic operating system, and she managed a pretty impressive 2. Cubester is off at Woody's, so he failed miserably. Cubette and her mate Hols saved the day by eating an impressive four each. and because I'm trying to lose a bit of weight I only had 5. Urrrrrrrp.

Is that the Nanna/MIL 1.0 I met? (Not that you'll have more than one MIL of course) I can imagine you all enjoying pancakes...

In our first year, the three of us sharing a house had a pancake party. Tom and I made a big batch of batter and as soon as people arrived, got cooking. After a while, we had to send a couple of guests out for more eggs, milk and flour. About 3 hours in, we realised that neither of us had managed to get one yet - everytime one was ready, there was a guest with a plate waiting.

I think that was the same evening they tried to push me down the road on a wheelie bin.... There may have been booze too.

Yes, that's the one Arch!

When I was studying in Marburg we decided that the Brits should treat the Germans to egg'n'chips. It took several hours, sacks of taties and loads of eggs, but that was the sort of thing where you can't tell where seconds started and thirds began etc.
