First reply is to wonder how many other have, like me, now started to listen to Radio 2 this week.

Although it does feel, at the moment, as if he is trying too hard to be nice and not upset the locals, I look forward to the point he relaxes a bit more into the role and gets George Michael swearing on live radio again.

It's safe to tune in at dinner time then, never liked him much.

r2 is sometimes on in the house in the moring, but it got turned off yesterday, really not doing it for me.

The news ran a piece about it, portraying wogan as playing fuddy duddy stuff and evans being more modern. Wogan had some excellent playlists IMO - not all old crap. And what about Janet and John?? used to have me in stiches.

As a kid Radio 2 was for boring old farts. Now I am a boring old fart I don't like showing myself up so I tune into Rock Radio 106.2 from Manchester.

Here for rides.
Hated Wogan's show. Only listened to that slot when he was away. So far Chris Evan's has been in the car for at least half my drive to work this week, Today being the other passenger. Will try Mr Mayo on drivetime as an alternative/antidote to PM too.

I'll listen to it more now that Simon Mayo has taken over from him in the afternoons.

god it gets worse - sorry to be so negative about this but it's sad to see it go down the pan, was a great station for a while. I'm kind of glad i dont get to listen to radio in the day anymore. When I do it'll be R4 or Kerrang!

I'd rather stand on upturned plugs than listen to radio 2. Bland, platitudinous, middle of the road bilge that it is.

Stop sitting on the fence Kirstie, tell us what you really think

Most radio is pretty crap nowadays, especially late at night  I find myself listening to classic FM sometimes now on the way home, especially after late shifts

Being of a certain persuasion and age, and fortunate enough to work for a business that doesn't mind the use of the internet I can get by with iPlayer and "last night's" Radcliffe and Maconie and Iain Anderson from Radio Scotland.

Apart that is from the times when one or other of these programmes features the new folk stars - The Unthanks nee Rachel Unthank and the Winterset

To my mind,
Rachel and Becky - No Thanks!

If you want some fok and clogging - look up
