I used to listen to CE's drive time show 2 or 3 times a week. Miss it now it's not on. Not keen on Mr Mayo. Have not been able to catch CE's new morning show. Listening to it after on BBC i-player would be a bit naff.

Stop sitting on the fence Kirstie, tell us what you really think

Most radio is pretty crap nowadays, especially late at night  I find myself listening to classic FM sometimes now on the way home, especially after late shifts ;)

OMG! Those inane stupid adverts................. I'll listen if they are playing Rachmaninov and endeavour to switch off before the ads come one, but I forget as being put in a good mood by Rachmaninov, but my good mood quickly evaporates as I curse because of the bl00dy gormless adverts, aghhhh!!!

From what I have listened to it appears to be much the same format as the evening slot was ;)

Being of a certain persuasion and age, and fortunate enough to work for a business that doesn't mind the use of the internet I can get by with iPlayer and "last night's" Radcliffe and Maconie and Iain Anderson from Radio Scotland.

Apart that is from the times when one or other of these programmes features the new folk stars - The Unthanks nee Rachel Unthank and the Winterset

To my mind,
Rachel and Becky - No Thanks!

Bellowhead consistently good.

Demon Barber Roadshow can be disappointing at times.

One of the female clog dancers is in a band call Kerfuffle - well worht seeing aas is Belshezzars' Feast an offshoot of Bellowhead.

how many others have stopped listening to radio 2 this week , now that chris evans has taken over from wogan and jeremy vine is on holiday and god knows who has replaced him ?? ;)
It's a pity Jeremy Vine is on holiday same time as me, it would be nice to have missed him had I been at home.
As for Mr Evans, he does seem to have re invented himself, so I will give him a fair trial run.

I'd rather stand on upturned plugs than listen to radio 2. Bland, platitudinous, middle of the road bilge that it is.

Same here. I used to quite enjoy Radcliffe & Maconie, but their rather smug and cliquey attitude got to me after a bit. Now I can't stand them.

Has Wogan gone? Good, I might start listening again.

I can't stand really rich people like Wogan whining about things in life. If every thing's so bad here, then sod off back to Ireland or your house in France, or villa in Spain.

I have tried Evans this week but he is a control freak idiot so am having to put up with the local commercial station with lots of double glazing adverts repeated rather frequently.
Mayo is a bit annoying (funny attitude).

Is it too much to ask for a station that plays decent music without annoying adverts and has a DJ that is pleasant, amusing and interesting to listen to?

I don't mind Chris Evans...don't love him either...same for Wogan. Parts used to drive me nuts, Wogan was a bit too 'whimsical' as previously said, but then parts were good.
Who was / is the plummy female presenter on early before Wogan...now she did drive me nuts, couldnt listen to her

Generally Radio 2 for me in the workshop.
Radio 1...not for me.
Local radio... too many inane adverts, inane presenters, or worse with the likes of Kevin Lawrence, who's so full of himself he's a joke (only he doesnt think so) , crap newsreaders and alarmingly the prevalent use of the word 'crap' on the radio...i swear, but i dont want to hear it on the radio . Jesus !

The trouble is that one man's decent music is another man's ear-ache!
