Er, 15 Vernon. There are 15 strings.
Keith Richards often plays an open tuned 5 string its how he gets some unique sounds/tone on many Stones songs, there may be other reasons as well6 is just an arbitary number any way. why not 5 .
and if guitars are like bikes then surely the more strings the better![]()
I can't see it catching on some how. I still think 7 strings on a guitar is blasphemous. This is just utter devilment and perpetrators will probably be punished in many and wicked ways and rightly so.
I'm going now to play my conventionally tuned 6 string acoustic in the most puritanical way I can. Please don't upset me with these images again.
