Or, indeed, have a night ride and then have some drinks in the morning.
 The very idea!

Mr R's asked me to add another 6 bottles to the stuff we're taking. My car boot is beginning to look like an off license.
My wife was amending the food shopping order late last night which is coming this morning. I may have added another bottle of white wine and a bottle of Macallan single malt.....

People who drink too much and try to push drinks on to those who don't want them?
People who smoke knowing the health issues it causes?
People who watch too much TV when there are lots of other interesting things to be doing?

Same coin, just the other side.
Some say that giving up alcohol means losing your sense of humour, but I don't see it myself.

Probably very little more than usual. I now like to savour wine, vodkas and single malts for their tastes rather than alcohol for the sake of getting drunk.
Plus whilst once feeling rough to varying degrees the following day was almost perceived as a badge of honour for the events of the night before, nowadays I see it as an inconvenience to what I should like to be doing.
(Think I am getting old )

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
they're a bit like vegetarians, territorial army types and people who don't like football - few of them but you'll always know who they are.
None - finished my lifetime's allowance rather too quickly 12 years ago and not a drop since - and I feel a hell of a lot better for it.
BTW I don't like football either..... or cricket (FFS get it off Radio 4 LW - its already on 5 sport, can't believe anyone listens to that drivel anyway) ...... and as for golf!!! Call that a sport????
Merry Christmas everyone :santa:

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Much, much less than usual. A combination of illness, needing to give my liver a rest before an operation and being a taxi means that most of the booze in the house will still be there in the New Year.

Probably quite a bit. I've got about 5 crates of home brew that have been maturing and are ready to be drunk. Also had a couple of bottles of whisky this past week so wouldn't want it to sit around for too long...

My general rule on all things I eat and drink is "never better than when it's fresh".

That applies to everything from tangerines to malt whisky at Christmas
