How much do you reckon?

I've decided to sell my Mavic Ksyrium SL wheels.

They've done about 500 miles, have a few normal marks but are generally in excellent condition, but more importantly they are in perfect running order.

Shimano/Sram compatible, no cassette, no skewers, no tyres etc.

So the million dollar question, what do you reckon I should ask?

FWIW they are still £630 from reputable online retailers, but there aren't really very many sold used ones to judge them by.

Thanks.

Being relatively new, I'd have thought you could expect between a half and two thirds of the original purchase price.

However, items which aren't regularly traded second-hand don't really have a "market price".

I've been offered £380, do you reckon I'd get a pair of wheels built, (Open Pro rim/Ultegra hub ish???) for that sort of money?

Funnily enough, went into my LBS today, to see him about handbuilts, here's what he quoted me:

2 x Mavic Open Pro rims (32h)
Sapim CX Ray Spokes
105 hubs
Cost £180

The same with Ultegra hubs approx £240-250

But my option I went with are Mavic CXP rims (deep sections)
Sapim spokes
Haven't decided on which hubs yet, mulling over if the Ultegras are worth the extra £60-70 on performance and quality.

All sounds good. Is Geoff Smith doing them for you?
