My two bikes are:

Carlton course de primes that my dad bought new in 1964ish

On-One Inbred bought as parts in 2006 although the wheels date from 2004, the gears from 2013 (was singlespeed when I built it) and the saddle from 2003 as it was a gradual upgrading!

Growing old disgracefully

The frame for my GT Avalanche is 2005 - the forks are 2007. All other parts (except the brake rotors) are pretty recent

The frame for the Virtue is 2009 - all the parts are new (although they took a few years to accumulate)

Road Bike 20 years
TT Bike 17 years (20 years old)
Road Bike 15 years (c35 years old)
Road Bike 13 years
MTB 11 years
MTB 10 years
Road Bike 10 years
Road Bike 4 years
Fixed 3 years
Road Bike 2 years (c40+ years old)
Hybrid 2 years (6 years old)

Bikes no longer in the "stable":
Road Bike 1976 - 1982 stolen  (still grates:rolleyes:)
Road Bike 1982 - 1995 (c1975), given to a good home.
Road Bike 1986 - 1996, frame damaged beyond repair .

Can't let them go voluntarily (with the one exception across 40 years).

Looking for one more Road Bike (Titanium) in next 5 years, and one final Road Bike (hand made steel frame) when I retire (Mrs TB is really chuffed! ^_^)

My signature shows the age of my trikes. I sold a well used and rather ratty 2007 ICE QNT last year and despite a dire year for my cycling, due to a winter cold that is still affecting my Asthma, I hope to get back out there later this year*. I've found having two bikes/trikes is best, it allows me to ride whilst awaiting parts or return from the bike shop if it's a big job, so would probably replace either trike if it suffered a catastrophic failure.

*I managed 50 miles between January 1st and June 23rd and added another 10 miles, over two days, in the last week. Hopefully the specialist will give me the all clear on Friday to start building up to my customary 3 x 20 miles/week from now on.

My rideable bikes are a 1989 Muddy Fox which is still in MTB guise, a 1990 Muddy Fox in 'Franken-bike' drop-bar guise, and a Ribble Audax of unknown age - it's aluminium and has down tube bosses, so I'd guess at mid 90s

My Spesh is seven years old. This year has been rubbish for cycling, with other things getting in the way.So this is my last bike.I hope to be cycling long in to my 70's.But i can say i don't intend to purchase another.Same with clothing,it is possible we will be going to Canada in the next couple of years,so i intend to buy a jersey from Love2Pedal a supplier in Kansas. So how old are your bikes and any plans to do n+1.I think that is the term.I can't see the outlay of nearly 1500 + at my age warranted. Isn't that frame a bit small for you? You've got a massive amount of seatpost showing and a long rising stem. It looks like a 58 so how tall are you?

6' 4", 34 " inside leg and it's a 61cm frame, and it's beautiful.I did buy a mountain bike seatpost because i was on the edge of the marking on the original post, and i was worried about pressure on the frame joint. That post goes well past the joint.A lovely bike.On the photo put a piece of paper on the top tube and it lines up with the top of the saddlebag and there is a lot less post showing.
