It's a reasonable assessment and a typical alternate view to attack it would be that it's too simplistic and doesn't account for the complexities of a global free market. If you believe that then just keep drinking the coolaid.
The only bit I would take issue with is the underlying intimation of some sort of overarching Machiavellian plot. There doesn't need to be, this is just the result of people with the wealth and influence behaving in ways that are most beneficial to them.
