I realised I'd turned into my dad when, instead of throwing it away, I kept a random stick because it might come in handy for stirring paint.



Just realised that’s me.I have 10 sticks in the garage with paint on them.
 
Indeed time changes us. I'm fitter and thinner than I was in my early forties when the pressures of young children, driving 30k a year in a pressured job with long days and tight deadlines completely did for me. I've done the reverse of FF and ditched the campervan to go back to bike camping, however I could be persuaded to combine the two these days.

I have used the same paint-stick for many years. One day I'll saw through the end of it and relive all the layers of time ^_^.
