It's so simple, you have to treat cold viruses like Ebola.
Wash hands before sitting down to work so that you don't contaminate your keyboard and mouse with viruses you picked up off the office door handles.
Wash hands on entering your house so that interior fittings etc. are virus-free.
Don't give viruses a direct route into your throat by picking your nose or rubbing your eyes.
The minute you feel soreness coming on in your throat and the back of your nose, gargle with Corsodyl, which kills viruses as well as bacteria. Keep gargling three or four times a day and you'll beat the virus.
This regime works well for me and I almost never get colds..... until I'm in a meeting with an ill-mannered bloater here in Johannesburg who interrupts constantly, texts while I'm talking then suddenly sneezes explosively right in my face. Thank you for giving me a cold when I'm having 5 to 7 meetings a day and taking 10 flights in 2 weeks to 8 different cities.
