Virgin "voice over".... how to get rid of it ?

The problem......
When watching some programs of recordings I keep getting this annoying voice over telling me what is happening eg "he is now walking down the stairs" or something equally stupid.
I can remove it by pressing a particular button and a box comes up with the option to press "audio sub titles".
But, and here's the annoying part......a couple of days later and it starts again.
I need to get rid of it permanently.

Audio description - called different things in different brand tv's.

Navigate your way to Settings > Accessibility and an option in there will be turned on. Turn it off.

You should also be able to change language.. Things sound different in Chinese .. 👍

Likely, it will play to your default audio setting, be it audio 1 or audio 2.
Usefully for ITV HD freeview, audio description seems to be audio 1, making for better football commentary.
World cup, I found both the ITV and BBC commentary very mute tempting.
