How to blur faces when sending a photo.

I want to email/WhatsApp a photo but it has faces which I have no right to show.
I have a Samsung smart phone.
I have googled it but the advice doesn't seem to work.

On my Samsunbg, I just took a photo, from my gallery and said to Gemini "Please take this photo and blur all faces except the l;ady holding the tray".

While it did so, there isn't really sufficient blur at the first attempt IMO.

I then said "They need a stronger blur so the faces aren't recognisable", and it came up with a rather better result. There were 5 other faces in the picture.

As above some form of AI client with clear instructions of what you want it to do.

Or, when you open the photo in your gallery, there should be an "Edit" option. you can then select blur from options, manually do the blurring and then save it as a new photo. then share that

Except the AI company now has a copy of the original photo to use as they please.

Not always. I use an AI client that can be restricted to just use local sources.

Yeah, I'm not entirely happy - I could recognise most of those, but I do know them all fairly well.

If I wanted to do this for real I would have asked for more blurring again, or tried another AI tool.

In Samsung Gallery: Blur / pixel pen or put a sticker over the top. Object eraser if you're nasty.

They do, but as is being shown AI is a security nightmare leaking data with ease. Don’t trust it very far with respect your wishes.
