How to Buy A Frame

Well, not so much how to buy it - that's the easy bit. But collecting it? That's a different matter! @ttcycle took the true cyclist's way: After a full day at work, take a long ride through rush hour traffic to unknown areas of London, strap the frame to your back, then ride home through another unknown area. All on fixed.

Sadly, I made ttcycle ride up an unnecessary hill owing to a combination of my navigational error and Richmond Park being closed (we just missed the cut off) for the deer cull. Still, we got the fun of riding down Star & Garter Hill (I need to get my souplesse back), and a kind commuter stopped to help us as we were looking at the map heading for Kingston Gate.

Some essential de-fettling before the off:

Epic ride. Good company. Great fun.

Good aren't they? This one borrowed from another CCer but waiting for mine to come from Hungary.

It was all worth it for the frame, the mudguards got junked before we left as they were too bulky and fragile..won't miss them.

The hill* was Nightingale Lane in Kingston. I remember not quite making it without stopping at the last quarter on a geared bike, to get my breath; it wasn't happening on the fixed Carlton.

So much fun but absolutely bonkers too. Guessing it was about 35miles - 11 more than my standard commute.
