How to carry your kit?

Fizik saddles have a clip at the back of the saddle that allows a fizik bag to clip directly to the saddle, without needing to trouble the seatpost.

I have got a medium sized on and have in it,
Spare tube
CO2 regulator
2x CO2 canisters
Multi tool
Patches
Tyre levers
Spare link

There is probably room for another canister. I did try the small version but I couldn't fit the tyre levers in it so had to go a size up. The medium isn't really very big, but big enough.

Just waiting for the new bike to arrive with the fizik saddle so I can actually use it. Nothing like being prepared...
I get tyre levers in the small bag but I squeeze less in there; I dont carry CO2, gave up carry patches (the glue was always dry when I came to use it) and a spare tube or two goes in the jersey.

I have a camelbak for my mountain bike and panniers for the touring bike

How / where do roadies keep all the kit you need to carry, food, levers, tubes, pump, waterproof, etc?

Can you recomend something suitable for a carbon road bike with carbon seat tube

PS I'm not the small, slim rider on the right!

I have a 'Tools and Tube' that slots into a bottle holder. I keep a yellow waterproof and allen keys in it.

I also bought a medium sized 'Carradura' midi saddle wedge that carries lights, tube, multitool, coiled lock, chain links, puncture outfit and tyre-levers, a selection of m5/m4 bolts and stille room for a crisp fiver and a little more. Great quality and styling from Carradura and not outrageously expensive if you look around.

Some great ideas everyone. Many thanks

I am so used to a 13 litre camelbak for carrying spare kitchen sinks that I don't know how to travel light

Saddlebag from time to time now only to carry an extra rear light on the strap but jersey

I just carry tubes in my pockets easier and cleaner and seeing as their fresh, there folded quite compact. Pump always in jersey or gilet pocket

Was it a quick pace?

We did the Norwich 100 last June, but it took 9 hours including stops
It was an exceedingly leisurely pace with a stop at Bonds of Elswick for ice cream, a trip up the coast to Fleetwood, then we caught the ferry over to Knott End for a cafe stop by the sea. On the way back, we split into two groups - the fast group shot off and the rest of us meandered back at our own speed.

We did a modified version last year which avoided the coast and crossed the Wyre at the toll bridge near Elswick.

I was hoping to organise another edition this spring but I've been too ill to ride my bike. If I make a recovery in time, I might do it in the autumn instead. We'll have to see.

You'd be welcome to join us next time we do the ride. We start and finish from the car park at Spring Wood above Whalley.
