As amusing as it is....I'm sure the cop doesnt need someone buggering him about like that. He saw someone jump a red light, he's trying to issue a fine...let him do his job.

You come off looking like a bit of a prat here. If you want to gamble RLJing then you should at least be decent enough to pay the fine.
I hope you're not this ornery all the time.

I dont belive the OP is the cyclist in this video. In fact, the vid has been posted here under a different title before.

IIRC, we all agreed that the RLJ'ing cyclist was a cockwomble.

In an earlier thread on this forum the word 'cockwomble' was used to describe someone displaying egregious behaviour.

The RLJ in this video offers us an almost perfectly distilled definition of the term.

If it can be used as a verb, Danny is cockwombling to a quite alarming extent.

The police officer doesn't do himself many favours, but that's not the point.

This Danny fellow must be an absolute scream at social events.

Why is it that true cockwomblery seems to encourage the promoting of one's own tendency to cockwomble?

I remember this video doing the rounds a while ago. Lets put it into perspective, the Police Officer is doing his job in stopping someone who has commited an offence. The officer unfortunately does't conduct himdelf very well and allows himself to be bamboozled by someone that appears to have a little bit of legal knowledge.
The majority of us moan about the way the vehicle users tend to treat us when we are on the highway conducting ourselves properly. Why should we give them ammuniton to condem us further, motorists need educating about cyclists and also horse riders who also suffer at their hands.
As a driver I give consideration to cyclists because I know what it is like, but it really hacks me off when you see cyclists acting stupidly, so it is no wonder non cyclists get the hump with us in general.
When myself and my group ride, we communicate and as my friends are all ex racers they are obviously experienced, so we will single out correctly, inside man up first etc and hopefully try to keep the motorist happy. In turn they may be more considerate to cyclists in the future so it hopefully becomes an education exercise. I am also not that foolish to believe every motorist is considerate, there are many idiots out there that should be banned.
It would be good if a lot of Police Officers were to ride bikes on a regular basis, they would appreciate the situation and would also be on our side more.

Been posted before. Guy behind the camera is one of those 'Freeman' morons.

Shame there isn't a guide online saying why their views are a load of bollocks.

Guy bamboozled the copper with obfuscation and non-legal gobbledygook. And then legged it.

He won nothing, and he promotes a movement that endorses staggering levels of selfishness and legally dangerous practices based on a complete misinterpretation of Americans making a complete misinterpretation of the basis of law in the US, and then thinking they could apply it to the UK.

He, like everyone who follows it's nonsense practices (refusing to pay council tax, credit card bills, follow court orders etc because they believe they aren't legally binding when they are) will end up at best bankrupt or at worst in prison.
