How to find out what bike model?

    how do i find out what model my bike is, all i know is its a diamond back, dont no what year etc, how can i find out?

    a lot of bike manufacturers (e.g. specialized and Gary Fisher) have archive showing older bikes.

    or search ebay or the web with make/model and see what turns up.

    when did you buy it? you know that is has to be older than that so you can eliminate newer models, unless you purchased it from a strange man travelling in a blue police box.

    i just purchased a 2nd hand bike (not going to mention what maker) sent them an e mail with the frame number to try and confirm exact spec and got told it would cost a tenner to be told that info , that maker have lost it in my eyes
