Just completing a week in hospital so I have had plenty of injections and bloods taken plus 2 canulars .
I don't like injections but tbh the only one that was very painful was in my stomach, yesterday.......don't know why as I have had 3 others that were OK.
Anyway......
My point is that the actual sticky tape they use is extremely sticky. But that's OK except removing it is more painful than the injection was.
However, this morning I set about removing one from where a canular was. It was a big square and seemed to be stuck on with super glue. It has taken me 2 hours and I have just finished.
Below is the next canular to come out, today I think.

It was a very young nurse and I think was practicing on me.

Maybe too late now, but I've found that soaking them eases their removal. When you have the time to do it.

I don't recall any particular problem with that translucent colourless stuff the NHS use, but back in the days when the fabric Elastoplasts were made of cotton they stuck like limpets, which is why I bought them. Everything else falls off in an hour or two, including the new Elastoplasts with a synthetic fabric.
