How's 2016 treating you so far?

Worked like a dog New Years day; work was a bit quieter yesterday. Today was a nice quiet day going to church and also buying a few horror DVD's off of eBay.

2016's been alright so far.

Thus far:

Huge car repair bill - and car off road for a fortnight. Just when I need it due to running around due to a parent's operation.
Large tax bill due the end of the month.
Window broken in shed.
The porch is now leaking.

On the upside, I'm on leave at the moment and we're healthy.

Well, it's 3rd January, and so far...

Heavy rain has brought down a tree and a wall in my garden, I'm facing a huge bill for my car, and I've lost the crown on one of my teeth.

Not a happy bunny!

The post-Xmas Chest infection just about cleared by the weekend, only for an upper respiratory virus to kick in. Last 3 days sat on the sofa!

The washing machine is making horrible noises when spinning.
I have spoken to a repairer who just said buy a new one. The cost of bearings and spindle for the drum would be not economic to repair.

Think I may have Gallstones . Pain just under right rib cage for about a week now. Achey/crampy pain rather than sharp pain and too high up for appendicitis. Googled the symptoms and fits most of them. Bit better today so hopefully it may be on its way out.....

2016 so far has given me an unpleasant chest cold but it has also given me a premium bond win of nearly £1,000,000*** in the very first draw that the bonds were eligible for!



*** Well, if I win another £999,975 then I will have won a total of £1,000,000 ...
