I bought a challenge mistral sl a few months ago and couldn't get on with it, I never felt comfortable with the handling. I wrote of recumbent bikes as being stupid. Change in circumstances mean that I can't ride a trike at moment so I picked up a speedmachine thinking I might as well give bikes on more go. I'm glad I did, the handling is so predictable. No problem whatsoever other than me not tightening the handlebars up and them slipping while I was riding.

Stunning machine. This picture is from the ad I bought it from, I'll post some of my own when I've made a few modifications (10 speed and some 155mm cranks)

Very nice. Has it currently got the SA CS-RK3 hub fitted?

Last year's model then. They've also unfortunately switched to hydraulic brakes this year along with wider wheel rims.
Mine are hydraulic, upgraded I think. I'm happy the rims are the narrower type as I'm putting 28mm Schwalbe pro one and running them tubeless.
