Has anyone travelled on the HS1 train from St Pancras to dover?

Are bikes allowed on unannounced or does it need to be booked in advance?

Doesn't look like you need to book but it depends on time of day whether you can take a full size bike on a train

You can't book a bike space on the HS1, but there's always loads of space - we've had 8 bikes in there, as there's space next to the toilet as well as on the other side of the doors. The unit will either be at the very front or the very back. During the week, there's the usual restriction on no full size bikes leaving London between 4 pm and 7 pm (or arriving in London between 7 am & 10 am).

The trains look lush, its just i am allowed on these trains on my work permit from this month and i'll prob use it to pop to folkestone in 40% less time.

Also my boy like to ride fast trains so i take him on all the high speed routes i can and it becomes a day out for him.

The really fast bit, when they crank it to 11.......I mean 140 mph, is on the stretch between Ebbsfleet and Ashford International.
