Huge Snowman

On my way to the shopping centre this afternoon I saw this large snowman!

Someone in my close had built an igloo too.

That's an excellent snowman. I've seen several in the last few days. Yesterday's fave was the one with a badminton racquet for one arm. Today I saw a lad (teenage) building a huge one (of the one ball on top of the other variety) in his front garden, and later a great classic one with a carrot for a nose and radishes for eyes, and a scarf and hat. The mum and kid (about 3 or 4 years old) were just outside the house, she said the kid had built it - impressive, since the snowman was about an inch taller than the kid. Mind you, the radish eyes gave it a slightly demonic look, I swear it was watching me....

Sorry Dan bo he is a lovely snowman, with a top hat and bow tie all made out of snow and he has a dog too

Jane, is that Neil's? Can't see Nick making one? or? I only took that one with my phone as I didn't want to take my good camera in case I fell over! The camera is only about 1.3 megapics but it's come out OK.

What I noticed about today, I walked through Birchwood Forest Park. It was full of people, kids, adults, teenagers etc. All on the little hills sledging and dogs running around. Everyone was having such fun. Another thing was - people were speaking to each other. I got a really good feeling of what it might have been like when you read about ponds being frozen over & people skating.

There were hardly any cars on the roads and it was great. If you look at my Facebook Jane you'll see some pics I've downloaded.

I was so pleased that those people came along as you can get the true perspective of how large the snowman is.

That snowman looks abit scared, I would be if I were a snowman and a campfire was beside me.

Impressive! I wonder how they got up there.

We built a great igloo a couple of years ago, the best one I've ever made, but it was starting to thaw by the time we'd finished it and the roof had caved in by about one in the morning. Yes, I was getting up to check on it, I was gutted! ;0)

I made a snowman about ten days ago, it took me three hours and is tiny so I take my hat off to anyone that can make one
