Having managed to sheer off the valve stem when trying to blow up my front tyre half way through my cycle, I had my first inner tube change experience today.
I had the spare inner tube and pump, but not tyre levers. So, my first thanks go to a man living nearby who had a set and let me use them to change my tyre over (and then when I nicked my finger and bled all over them let me keep them ), and then thanks to the two roadie cyclists who offered help on the way past, then stopped to use their pump as I was making a right mess of re inflating the tyre with mine. I will need to practice that a bit more.
All sorted now, and only took about 10 minutes - not bad for a girlie novice!
