Thursday I decided to try for the coast, reception told me about a trail to Hornsea that should take about 1:5 hours. With my Lion & Keys head on it took me about half an hour to find it and that was by pure chance.
After about 45 mins I was still in Hull so I stopped an did a quick check, I was miles north of the Hornsea trail.
After a tour of many dismal Hull estates I was reacquainted with it, probably about 20 mins from my Hotel.
This trail is 80%+ well surfaced, the remainder prone to puddling & mud.
Old Station
Climb to the fresh water mere near Hornsea.
Hornsea
After tootling around the coast for an hour l headed back to the start of the trail to see how long it actually takes. This was not easy as cycling under a lot of foliage into a setting sun, through mud was like riding on ice in a stroboscope, l nearly came off umpteen times but can confirm Hornsea to Hull marina is indeed 1:5 hours.
Need refreshments....
