'HUMP' rucksack cover question

Hi all, I have just bought a flourescent 'Hump' waterproof rucksack cover but it doesn't really sit right on my cheapo (but otherwise excellent) Black's rucksack because of the subtantial waist belt system. What brand/model of rucksack would you recommend for this cover...any thoughts? I only need a rucksack big enough for gym and lightweight shopping duties etc.

Cheers,

Bill

I use a Cammelback HOSS with my hump cover. This also has a waist band belt system but mine works fine with the hump..

I've got a cheapo 'pack that cost about £6 from Aldi or some-such place. The hump fits well but I'd recommend putting anything likely to suffer greatly from water contact in a plastic bag in the 'pack. Any run off down your back will soak into the 'pack.

Has anyone got any comments from others on the road because they have the word 'HUMP' on their back.

Always put me off.

Just going to say no then realised I don't use the "hump" one yet as it's a spare.

I generally have the hump though.

I use mine over one of edinburgh's revolution sacs (actually Vaude I think). Works fine, not been shagged wearing it yet.

I bought a HUMP cover. I tried it with all 4 of my rucksacks, it didn't fit well on any of them so I took it back and bought a rucksack with a built in cover and reflectives.

Thanks for the input guys, I do agree that the word HUMP emblazoned on your back leaves you open to a bit of ridicule but then as cyclists we should all have developed a thick skin towards abuse anyway. Far better to be seen in the first place. I think I am going to go down the Deuter bike range as these seem robust and have a thinner waist strap which shouldn't (I hope) get in the way of the cover, and allow a more water- resilient seal.

Thanks again,

Bill
