Actually, looking at the age of that it's probably made of iron and weighs about half a ton.

The bike in the picture is a state of the art Humber racing bike and probably weighs around 25lbs. Mine will probably be a lb or two more.

Even pennies were made at a similar weight

hmmm- about the same as my 90s racer - things have really moved on!!!

I'm amazed at the penny's weight, only 25 lbs - wow!!

And a 30 incher (the rear 28). I did have one and the forks to go wth it but they only made that size of wheel/tyre for a couple of years, so I couldn't use them.

Sold the wheel and forks to a museum in Germany for a shed load of money and am now dropping it down to 28's so that I can ride it
