hybrid tyres

hi ,im upgrading to aboardman hybrid and am wondering about thin tyres in the wet, any comments

Summer and normal winter - I use 20mm's with no problem but avoid metal road furniture and painted lines in the wet when turning.

Winter icy roads are a different matter - you want fat tyres to get as much grip as p[oss.
