I have been searching the web for weeks looking for a wheelset to replace the worn out ones on my hybrid. It's only one I use for shopping and am happy with a cheap set (under 200 quid) ideally one where the rear already has a 7 speed compatible hub on it and they need to be able for me to fit 35mm tyres on them. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

Disc or rim brakes?
worn out how?
what’s on there currently?
have you asked your LBS to sell or get you something?

or adapt an 8 speed wheel As per video?

Sorry, rim brakes and they are the wheels that came with the bike, a Marin San Rafael 2016,. Not tried LBS but will ask. Both rims are shot on front and back due to using the bike daily on commute for 5 years solid, worn out.

Thanks. Have you used that bankrupt bike shop before?

I've not bought wheels from them before. But have bought bits and pieces from them over the years.

Though i am also after a cheap wheelset for my Hybrid, as the ones on there have done 37,000 mile, and the rims are a bit thin.
So for around £80 i will probably use them or Madspeed.

Unless i get around to buying a new bike, only been looking for the last couple of years.:laugh:
I'm not indecisive^_^ just keep changing my mind.^_^.

I've used the bankrupt place. Good service. They also have an Ebay shop where you get free postage.
I have a pair of Madspeed wheels on the turbo bike. Decent quality. 7 speed, but I've fitted an 8 speed block no trouble.

I wouldn't spend anywhere near £200 for wheels for a shopping hybrid.
In pre brexit times I would recommend those good german folk Taylor Wheels.
Now I'd take a look at Decathlon if you have one near you, though they will also deliver.
