hi everyone i am a newbie to this site, i have a mint condition 5 yr old almost 6 yrs, viking targa dx alu mountain bike, it has been very good and never let me down other than the odd pucture
since i bought i have added new wheels, hydraulic disk brakes, new shimano under handle bar rapid fire shifters to allow hydraulic levers to fit.
i clean it after every outing unless its pretty clean already which it rarely is as the woodland trails etc have lots of muddy puddles.
my son says your bike looks brand new still, i said yes because its loved looked after and cleaned and serviced regularly so i told him take note and follow my example on your own bike.....kids eyyy
i recently found though the rear brake had become over pressured probably due to keeping it indoors when heating on, it does work fine but rear pads just gripping disk slightly before lever applied i had to let a tad of fluid out to sort this but is there a way to stop this fluid expanding in the first place ?......
hydraulics are like marmite you either love em or hate em, i love their stopping power and they rarely need much maintenance
