Puzzle game procrastinator!
Ha ha - that's funny!

I can't compete for this week's award but I certainly should have won one 30 years ago ...

I went out with my mates on a Sunday evening and it turned into a late one ... After the pubs shut, we went back to some student dive and carried on partying until about 02:30, playing Risk and Backgammon, listening to music, and watching repeats of Bilko and The Young Ones.

Eventually, I staggered home and got into bed at about 03:15.

My alarm went off at 07:00 and I dragged myself downstairs. For some reason, my parents seemed to be having a lie-in. No time to hang about ... I forced down a breakfast and half a mug of tea, then power-walked to the factory I was then working at (just round the corner from dave r, it turns out!).

The industrial estate was uncharacteristically quiet - there wasn't a soul in sight - and all the units still had their shutters down.

My hangover was awful. I decided that I'd much rather be sleeping it off at home than working in a busy factory for 10 hours.

And then I remembered why we had partied so hard the previous night ... today was a Bank Holiday Monday!

My annoyance only lasted about 5 minutes as I jogged home to go back to bed. I got back just as my parents were getting up and they thought I was just getting home from the pub. There was much laughter when I explained what had happened!

I went back to bed and slept until mid-afternoon.

To make it worse I repeated the feat a couple of years ago, at a sportive..... I felt a lot better about it as it was only 80miles away ^_^

Years ago when I was being interviewed for university, I arrived a couple of hours early and was sat in the reception area waiting and waiting for the day of being shown around, taking part in experiments and my interview..

Well as it turns out - I was a week late in terms of dates but early in terms of the time...luckily, I got interviewed and got a place.

none of these compares to reigning tour de france champion pedro delgado missing his start time at the prologue for the 1989 tour de france…

I arrived at holyhead a day late for my ferry. Had wanted the overnight Friday-saturday ferry. When booking I had asked for times of ferry on Friday..and forgotten that 2.00 meant the day after so had booked 2.00am Friday by mistake. Irish ferries or stena line let me on without any extra payment..seems it happened all the time.

Similarly, I turned up at an audax once, a village hall start, and discovered I'd forgotten my spd shoes. Fortunately, the organiser was able to lend me shoes... and pedals as they a different cleat system! First and only time I've ever ridden that type of cleat.
