The|Roscoe Head's a cracking little pub and so small you'll be rubbing elbows. One of only seven in the UK to have made every single CAMRA good beer guide apparently. Well worth a pint on your way back into town after gawping at The Philharmonic's bog.

There's a Jackson Pollock exhibition at the Tate; worth seeing. People always reckon they can splash one out themselves but I reckon you shouldn't try it in the exhibition hall.
and there's a Hockney in the Walker

"Avoid Yates" is good advice wherever you go, in all fairness.
OTOH, I would recommend a trip to the now closed down Yates Wine Lodge near Moorfield Station to see the most unusual "Rotating Wall Art".

Perhaps you should check locally to ensure it is still functioning:okay:.

Edit to add...The Maritime Museum near the Albert Dock is well worth a visit, if matters maritime interest you.

... or personal experience?

So you see a cyclist running a red light and conclude that all cyclists must do this.

That's pretty much what you're saying. I come from Liverpool and you're basically saying I'm a thief. Don't try weaseling out of it.

We started with breakfast in a Weatherspoons, followed by a stroll around the World Museum and then 5 hours in the Cavern listening to some great music and partaking of a lot of booze, a large Pino and a pint of bitter is cheaper in there than most pubs in Lincolnshire.

Our excuse, boy when it rains here it is monsoon like.

I worked and stayed in Liverpool, 2000/2001, I worked on Dale St (old BT building) and I like the City, but, the citizens have a manic self belief in it's architectural importance, yet I'd not bet £1 on it (overall) being any better than Bradford's. I like the water front but elsewhere it's a regular provincial northern City and Leeds (never mind Manchester) has far more a of buzz. I went there a few weeks back for a day out and to process my Irish passport and the best thig that about the City that I remember is still the same, glamorous women. ^_^
